While on our recent trip to Botswana, we were able to witness for ourselves the wonderful results of God’s miraculous healing power.  During our trip to Africa in September of 2013, we were greatly saddened to hear that Pastor Tex Kiti’s young nephew, Josiah had been suddenly stricken in January of that year, by some unknown illness that had resulted in total paralysis. One week into his school term, Josiah was hit by what his Mother, Sophia Kiti, refers to as a “Strong Force”.  Josiah immediately fell down, and could neither walk nor stand.

Sophia took Josiah to the hospital, where he was admitted.  Sweet, joyful young Josiah spent his time in the hospital singing songs of praise to the Lord. After three weeks, the doctors discharged Josiah, saying there was nothing they could do for him.  Unfortunately, such are the trials of third world medical care.  Josiah was taken home, where he laid on his back in bed, unable to walk or stand; with all of his joints and muscles stiff.  According to Sophia, it appeared that parts of his body were dead.

Such was Josiah’s  condition for many, many months.  Pastor Kiti, and Christ the Rock Community Church in Mahalapye and Madiba  remained steadfast in their prayers for Josiah, and in their faith that God would heal him.  One night, Josiah had a dream that God had healed him.  In the dream, he saw himself walking.  Not long afterward, Josiah began to gradually regain the use of his legs, and was eventually able to walk without help.  Now Josiah’s body is fully restored, and he is running and playing with all the other children in his home village of Madiba.  I can’t express what God did any better than Josiah’s mother, Sophia did, so I will close with her words, and I pray that they will be an encouragement to you, and will inspire you to remain steadfast, never doubting, trusting God for whatever your need is today:

“Praise God!  Our God is mightier that Satan’s devices.  Halleluiah!”
